2020/2021 School Readiness RFP's Request for Proposals
Derby School Readiness Grant Program Open Bid Process Connecticut General Statutes: Sections 10-16o through 10-16r and Sections 10-16t through 10-16u Local Request for Proposals (RFP) - Any program that wishes to become a provider of School Readiness services in Derby must complete and submit a proposal to the Valley Early Childhood Regional Council for approval. All local RFP submissions will be reviewed by the Valley Early Childhood Regional Council and scored. All School Readiness providers must be willing and able to comply with all legislated mandates. School Readiness Grant - Programs interested in participating in the open-bid process to serve Derby residents must contact Ayanna Williams, Derby School Readiness Liaison, on or before March 16, 2020 for a Request for Proposal application and additional information. Applicants should apply early in order to complete the application by the due date of April 3, 2020. School Readiness Grant Submission/ Due Date - Eligible applicants must submit an application for the program year July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021. Grant award letters will be issued annually based on the annual appropriation of the Connecticut Legislature and the grant recipient’s compliance with the program requirements. The purpose of the Quality Enhancement Grant is to provide funding for programs that focus on education and early care that address quality standards and/or expand comprehensive services for children and families. The Valley Early Childhood Regional Council is seeking qualified programs/individuals to provide job-embedded, evidence based training and/or coaching for early childhood educators located in Ansonia on the following topics:
In addition, the Valley Early Childhood Regional Council is seeking qualified individuals to be a Registered Behavior Technician to provide behavior and related services to students, ages 3-5, in a community childcare setting located in Ansonia. Proposal should include an hourly rate for services. Behavior and related services must be provided by an individual qualified and certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The proposer will insure that all satisfactory criminal background checks, drug tests and DCF registry checks as required under law have been completed and will provide the Valley Early Childhood Regional Council proof upon request.
